The Xbox 360 is great for telling you something may be wrong. The ring of light can flash with many different error codes and color sequences. Not all Red Ring errors are bad, however. Some of the information you receive from the light ring can be used to your advantage.

If you are using an HDMI connection try turning off the console, disconnecting the HDMI cable from the console and TV then trying to reconnect.
