A Sticky Situation

Ever since its launch in 2005, I’ve been addicted to the PSP. Strangely, I never much cared for the games on Game Boy or other similar portable systems. But the high-powered PSP, with its remote play feature and built-in Web browser, appealed to me directly. Until a few weeks ago, the unit had been performing without a hitch. That’s when disaster struck.
I was sitting at my desk just before a morning class, drinking orange juice and trying to beat a particularly difficult PSP game. In my excitement, I knocked the juice over with an errant elbow, and drenched the handheld system in sticky sweetness. Luckily PSP repairs are not hard to come by. I’ve already found a place online that offers to fix videogame systems at reasonable rates.
I’m Not Throwing that Thing Away

I love my PSP. Plain and simple. Not only can I watch movies on it, but I can go online and do it without the aid of an external device (unlike the Nintendo DS). But the downside of this love of my PSP is that I use it. A lot.
Recently, the last two years of wear and tear have caught up with it and I’m having to consider taking my console to get fixed. It’s PSP repair time. Personally, I don’t mind this at all as I know I will get additional years of usage out of getting it fixed.
Curse this Scratched Screen!

Let’s face it, too often PSP screens become scratched and damaged from clumsy hands and uninformed adolescents. When you have a lot of scratches on your PSP, it can be a challenge to play it with the distortion. In addition, watching UMD movies on the PSP is even worse because you’ll be noticing that same annoying scratch for upwards of ninety minutes. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of simple methods you can do at home to repair your PSP screen. You can try to buff scratches out, but depending on the solution you use, this can cause further damage to the screen or the internal electronics if you’re not careful.
The easiest way to repair a scratched screen is to send it out to be cared for by a professional. PSP screen repair is one of the most common demands of the PSP owner, and there are specialists that can either replace the screen, or buff out scratches to make it look like new. With a new screen, it’s almost as if you have a new system too!
PSP LCD Screen Cracked?

When the PSP system screen has been physically damaged or cracked, it may be visible (i.e., damage to the plastic, outer housing) or not visible unless the LCD screen is powered on (meaning the LCD screen is cracked). In some cases the backlight is also damaged causing the screen to go dark and be extremely hard to see. In these instances, your PSP system would been deemed as out of warranty by the manufacterer. Don’t worry, www.VideoGame911.com will get you back in the game quickly. If you think your PSP system is damaged, please Submit a repair order
